Challenge

Our client, the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, was interested in an evaluation of their website. They partnered with my agency to better understand how users viewed their site and where improvements could be made.

Solution

We proposed a full website audit and user testing to get a comprehensive view of website performance and inform any changes.

What I did:

  • Led the website audit, which included a review of site analytics, primary research, competitors, SEO, content and usability
  • Collaborated with our UX designer on the user testing, where we tested mobile and desktop experiences across three target audiences
  • Synthesized our findings and provided prioritized recommendations for website changes

Results

We were able to make immediate changes on the site to improve site usability and accessibility. They also decided to work with our agency (instead of their current website partner) on new wireframes and design elements to refresh the overall look and feel of the site.
